[Verse 1]
C#m G#
Theres a bus stop, in a rare spot
C#m G#
in the middle of a barren empty desert where it's too hot,
C#m G# C#m G#
for even a cold blooded creature to live! Oh oh
C#m G#
Saddle up I think it's time to find a new ride.
C#m G#
Better hurry if you wanna make it alive.
C#m G# C#m G#
The sign says the greyhound ain't been here for years!

[Chorus]
A E
But somehow all these dreams and all these wishes,
B C#m A
always seem to bring me back to here.
E B C#m A
No wind in the air.
E
Something about a sense of reason,
B C#m
should've brought about a better season
A E G#
or, am I getting nowhere? ooh
C#m G#
Ooh, bada dum dada dum no
C#m G#
Ooh, bada dum dada dum no
C#m G#
Ooh, bada dum dada dum no
C#m G#
Ooh, bada bao ba dum dao

[Verse 2]
C#m G# C#m
The economies slow, but I've been making my way.
G# C#m
Put the key to the old's, it's been a long, long day.
G# C#m G# G# G# G#
Almost home, in second gear the tires hit the pavement go POP POP POP POP!
C#m G# C#m
No explanation no, but I best be hasting the day.
G# C#m
What about these hottie hottie molten lava streets in my way.
G#
But its almost Autumn, right?
C#m
And this gets over, right?
G# C#m
I'm over certain that the water makes it colder, right?
G#
I might get through this, right? But if I'm wrong!
C#m G#
One more reason to sing this song.

[Chorus]
A E
All these dreams and all these wishes,
B C#m A
always seem to bring me back to here.
E B C#m A
No wind in the air.
E
Something about a sense of reason,
B C#m
should've brought about a better season
A E G#
or, am I getting nowhere? ooh
C#m G#
Ooh, bada dum dada dum no
C#m G#
Ooh, bada dum dada dum no
C#m G#
Ooh, bada dum dada dum no
C#m G#
Alright, alright, alright

[Bridge]
A E B
Oooh oooh,
C#m A
gotta rig it up myself,
E B
'cause I've been standing on thin air,
C#m A
yea yea yea.
E B
My solitude can find me,
C#m A
I made a better bet this time,
E G#
'cause I've been betting on nowhere.

[Outro]
C#m G#
Ohh, bada dum dada dum no
C#m G#
Ohh, bada dum bap bap
C#m G#
Ohh, bada dum dada dum no
C#m G#
Ohh, alright, let's stop
