INTRO
******
Am

-----------------------
VERSE 1
********
E7 F Am
On patrol, a ship of shame, is down there in the deep
E7 F Am
In control of nothing, it wanders while we sleep
E7 F Am
On its bow a warrior name, it hides among the fishes
E7 F Am
Its daily mission still the same, no hopes, dreams or wishes

-----------------------
CHORUS
*******
E7 F Am
On Vanguard and Victorious, Vigilant and Vengeance
E7 F Am
The pride of England’s glory, hides from our attention

-----------------------
VERSE 2
********
E7 F Am
Our scanners and our schools they take, our welfare and our pensions
E7 F Am
Our international rules they break, our treaties and conventions
E7 F Am
Each one of forty-eight warheads on board, and each one eight times meaner
E7 F Am
Than the one that shamed the world at war, in the fires of Hiroshima

-----------------------
CHORUS
*******
E7 F Am
But Vanguard and Victorious, Vigilant and Vengeance
E7 F Am
They’re waiting for an upgrade and they’re standing to attention

-----------------------
BRIDGE
*******
F G Am
Down, down, down, derry down

-----------------------
VERSE 3
********
E7 F Am
At Faslane they wait their time, to take their turn of duty
E7 F Am
And drag their cargo through the brine and undermine its beauty
E7 F Am
When in Devonport, the tritium leaked into the Tamar
E7 F Am
In Plymouth town the fight was on to eliminate the danger

-----------------------
CHORUS
*******
E7 F Am
But on Vanguard and Victorious, Vigilant and Vengeance
E7 F Am
They pay no mind to protest, they have only one intention
F G Am
To go down, down, down, derry down
F G Am
Down, down, down, derry down
F G Bdim7/A
They’ll drag us down, down, down, derry down

ENJOY.......
