State Radio

Sister

by State Radio
State Radio

Biography:

State Radio is an alternative rock group formed in Sherborn, Massachusetts, United States in 2002. They consist of former Dispatch vocalist Chad Stokes Urmston (vocals, guitar), Chuck Fay (bass) and Mike “Mad Dog” Najarian (drums),

For generations of great American songwriters, the music and the message have been inextricably linked. Word and deed are one in the same, and the only thing more moving than the rousing call to action is the evocative melody that transports the words like a shell casing.

Way too good of an acoustic song to not have a chords page, made it for myself thought i
should share it. Used Owen Sakovics tab, thank god for you dude, and put the lyrics on
top, rhythm isnt hard.

Dm F Bb G
Count the candles, she said.
Add them up in your head
So I tried to blow them out
But my lips were dry, my wish to the sky
I have only what I carry
There must be a better place than this
She said quite the contrary
There ain't nothing here, but your bliss
Never learn to count the hills on the mountains of Taven
Never learn to read the glorious deeds of the crooked raven
Never learn to hide the growing tide of the feelings I'm trading
Never learn to feel, the breath of steel
I wanna hold this life I'm saving

Dm F Bb G
And the wind blew sand and the trees to land
In a stream of deceit
I drew water from my hand
But the sun was low
And the night crept so
If there is no light, no secrets
Will you know, so

A C B9 B9
As the crow flies
We gotta go

G Em@7 D C
To see sister, my sweet sister
In the half light of day
Sister, my sweet sister
Why don't you come out and play

Dm F Bb G
We persevered on a trail that sees
The crow that we follow in a high, high tree
But our limping grew worse in our quest for thirst
Wont you let the water nurse my screaming
I have only what I carry
There must be better place then this
She said quite the contrary
There ain't nothing here, but your bliss
Never learn to count the hills on the mountains of Taven
Never learn to read the glorious dead of the crooked raven
Never learn to hide the growing tide of the feelings I'm trading
Never learn to feel the breath of steel
I wanna hold this life I'm saving
