[VERSE 1]
D5 F#
In the night, lonely lonely night
Hm
You wonder were your dreams are
D7
gone
G Gm
If you find nothing in your mind to
D5 A
help you carry on

D5 F#
Write and read, your only company
Hm
When you can't find a friend
Em
I'll kept holding on forever
G
'Cause I'm living for the day when
A
you come back again, so darling

[REFRAIN]
D5 F#
Run to me and I'll pretend
Hm D7
A love like ours should never end
G Gm
And you should know, I'll never let
D A
you down, whenever you're in trouble

D5 F#
You can run to me, forget your pride
Hm D7
My broken heart, I'll try to hide
G Gm D
So if you need my love and sympathy
A
You run to me

[BREAK]
D5 F# Hm D7 G Gm D5 A

[VERSE 2]
D5 F#
Should it be, you lose your destiny
Hm D7
There's no one there to comfort you
G Gm D5 A
And in the end find you need a friend to tell your troubles to

D5 F#
Is it right to sit here every night
Hm D7
And think how it used to be
G
Live some days you should remember
Gm D5
And you wish you could come back, come running home to me
A
Oh, darling

[REFRAIN]
D5 F#
Run to me and I'll pretend
Hm D7
A love like ours should never end
G Gm
And you should know, I'll never let
D A
you down, whenever you're in trouble

D5 F#
You can run to me, forget your pride
Hm D7
My broken heart, I'll try to hide
G Gm D
So if you need my love and sympathy
D5
You run to me
Cadd9 G D5
You run to me, run to me.
