E
Now I've been drinkin' since I was four
A
Ain't had enough and I still want more
E B
Fill 'em up again place the glasses in a row
E
I've been in the horrors and started to shake
A
But good hard liquor is what I take
E B
And my pal alcohol I love you so

A
When I'm far away from home
E
And there's no pub I brew my own
A B
Out of vegetables or anything that grows
E
I drink it till my eyes bulge out
A
Then I scream and rave and shout
E B
'Cause my pal alcohol I love you so

A
I've a lot of good reasons for drinkin'
E
And one has just entered my head
A
If you don't have a charge while you're livin'
B
You've got no flamin' chance when you're dead
E
Oh I don't care what people think
A
It's a well known fact I'll die from drink
E B
'Cause my pal alcohol I love you so

A
I've very fine physicians
E
They've guarded me since my youth
A
One doctors name is Toohey
B
The other ones name is Tooth
E
I've seen my whiskers curl and singe
A
When I get through from a weekend binge
E B
'Cause my pal alcohol I love you so

A
When I'm far away from home
E
And there's no pub I brew my own
A B
Out of vegetables or anything that grows
E
I drink it till my eyes bulge out
A
Then I scream and rave and shout
E B
'Cause my pal alcohol I love you so

A
Oh I hear there's a drink called water
E
It may appeal to some blokes
A
But to me I think it's unhealthy
B
See what it does to the bottoms of boats
E
This song's about to end I think
A
So I must go for another drink
E B
'Cause my pal alcohol I love you so
