Slim Dusty- Little Boy Lost- 1960?

[intro]

Bb Eb Bb

[Verse 1]

Bb Eb
In the wild New England ranges came the word one fateful day
Bb Ab Eb
To every town and village that a boy had lost is way
Bb Eb
All the town folk quickly gathered and the wild bush horses tossed
Bb Ab Eb
And they went out to search the ranges for this little boy lost
Bb Ab Eb
They went out to search the ranges for this little boy lost

[Pre Chorus 1]

Bb
Came the night
Eb
Came the mornin'
Bb
Another night
Eb
Another dawnin'

[Chorus 1]

Ab Eb
And a mother weeps in silence as she kneels before the cross
Ab Bb Ab Eb
And she prays to God in heaven for her little boy lost

[Verse 2]

Bb Eb
The blazin' sun beat down upon the earth that final day
Bb Ab Eb
And with heavy hearts they prayed to God above to show the way
Bb Eb
When from a scrubby gully came a voice they'd ne'er forgot
Bb Ab Eb
Where's my daddy, Where's my daddy, Cried the little boy lost
Bb Ab Eb
Where's my daddy, where's my daddy, Cried the little boy lost

[Verse 3]

Bb Eb
In the wild New England ranges there's a boy that's known so well
Bb Am Eb
There's a story that the town folk and bushmen often tell
Bb Eb
How he fought the rugged country where man had seldom crossed

Bb Ab Eb
And a mother's prayers were answered for her little boy lost
