30 years to life - Slash (feat. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators)
|stole the lyrics from somewhere on the internet so they may be slightly wrong|

G
So the story goes
F
This is a tale that must be told
Bb
For what could be your destiny
C
You never know

G Eb
I never meant to be here
Bb
I never even tried
F C
But until you know when you're lost and down
G
You'll come to trouble in time
G Eb
It was a cold December
Bb
I wept day and night
F C
In a steel-toed rage, made a big mistake
G
Now I'll be doing time

Eb G
I was running with the order
Eb G
I was running out of time
Eb C
Now for me there is no quarter
D F D
I don't wanna be here
I don't wanna die

G
Serving 30 years to life
F
What I did, I can't deny
Bb C
Now the sorrow in my heart will never fade
G
I remember it so well
F
But now I'm sat here bored to hell
Bb C
Lord, I'm sorry for the error of my ways

(in the proper version there's no chords here but i'll give you them anyway for the bass)
G
They sent me on a mission
F
Out to earn my stripes
Bb
Should've known damn well when the curbstomp fell
C
Things would never be right

Eb G
I was running with the order
Eb G
I was running out of time
Eb C
Now for me there is no quarter
D F D
I don't wanna be here
I don't wanna die

G
Serving 30 years to life
F
What I did, I can't deny
Bb C
Now the sorrow in my heart will never fade
G
I remember it so well
F
But now I'm sat here bored to hell
Bb C
Lord, I'm sorry for the error of my ways

|Not so sure here but i think its this > ||:A |F |G |D |G |D :||

'Cause now I know, now I know
I was wrong and I can't let this go
I know, now I know
I am sorry, what a wretched soul
Oh, what a big mistake

||:E |G | D |E :||

A
Now I'm growing old
G
18 years I've got to go
C
I waste way in this cage
D
I'm all alone
A
That's how the story goes
G
This is a tale that must be told
C
For what could be your destiny
D
You never know

F A
I was running with the order
F A
I was running out of time
F D
Now for me there is no quarter
E G E
I don't wanna be here
I don't wanna die

G
Serving 30 years to life
F
What I did, I can't deny
Bb C
Now the sorrow in my heart will never fade
G
I remember it so well
F
But now I'm sat here bored to hell
Bb C
Lord, I'm sorry for the error of my ways

G
So the story goes
F
This is a tale that must be told
Bb C
For the sorrow in my heart will never fade
G
So the story goes
F
This is a tale that must be told
Bb C
Yes, I'm sorry for the error of my ways
