FALLEN FOR YOU by Sheila Nicholls

[F] Falling [A7] for you
[Dm] Did you [G] ever see me
[Bb] Watching [Bbm] from periphery
[F] I was [Bbm] playing another [Gm] game
I hoped you [C] catch on all the same

[F] Falling [A7] from view
[Dm] Did you [G] ever touch me
[Bb] Floating [Bbm] through your potpourri
[F] I thought I [Bbm] felt your fingers [Gm] once
After [C] waiting all these [Dm] months

[Dm] But I was [Dm/C#] wrong, so [F] wrong
[G] That was just another song you [Bb] wrote for another [C] girl
[Dm] And I hoped [Dm/C#] the day could be
When [F] you'd write a [G] song for me but it [Bb] never came
I thank you [F] all the same
But I'll [G] go now, so [C] you won't know how much I've

[F] Fallen [A7] for you
[Dm] Pointless [G] trying to be a [Bb] man
Boy, you [Bbm] don't know if you [F] can
I thought I [Bbm] knew you well e[Gm]nough
But your [C] walls are still too tough

[Dm] But I was [Dm/C#] wrong, so [F] wrong
[G] That was just another song you [Bb] wrote for another [C] girl
[Dm] And I hoped [Dm/C#] the day could be
When [F] you'd write a [G] song for me but it [Bb] never came
I thank you [F] all the same
But I'll [G] go now, so [C] you won't know how much I

[E] Thought about you all the [Am] time
Walking [C] round the Guggen[F]heim
Like a [E] rhyme in my [Am] mind
There you [C] are in my car [F]
But we [G] don't drive very [C] far
To the [G] beach, out of [A7] reach
Next to [Dm] me [G] my fanta[C]sy

[F] Falling [A7] for you
[Dm] Did you [G] ever see me
[Bb] Watching [Bbm] from periphery
[F] I was [Bbm] playing another [Gm] game
I hoped you [C] catch on all the [F] same
