[Verse 1]

G
It’s not here at all I cannot recall
C G D
The game I played when I was young
C Em
Without your little face
G C
To put me back into place
G
I played good
D G
But I can't believe that I won

[Verse 2]

G
The weight of my stare I cannot repair
C G D
As I watch you grab for the light
C Em
Let your innocence rain
G C
For one last refrain
G D G
Before I kiss your face goodnight

[Verse 3]

G
Old Mr. Crow Tell me what you know
C G D
When to steal and when to dive
C Em
One day my little man
G C
Won’t fit in my hands
G D G
Take the slack that I’ve left behind

[Chorus]

D
I can’t say I planned it
C G
I flew forever just to land it
D
My religious devotion
C G
I can’t pretend to understand it
D
everybody has a notion
C G Em
But someday you will know who I am
C G
Oooooh My little Man

[Verse 4]

G
Death says hello Are you ready to go
C G D
I was ready at 21
C Em G C
But the truth is too old and I know too much
G D G
I can’t go yet without my son

[Verse 5]

G
My little man I love you so much
C G D
I’m gonna let you sleep tonight
C Em
But I want you to know
G C
Every time that I go
G D G
That it’s me on the end of the knife

[Chorus]

D
I can’t say I planned it
C G
I flew forever just to land it
D
My religious devotion
C G
I can’t pretend to understand it
D
everybody has a notion
C G Em
But someday you will know who I am
C G
Oooooh My little Man
