Illusions of Bliss
Sarah McLachlan

Verse
D - F#m - Em - A
here I go again back into your arms
D - F#m - Em - A
whatever happened to resolve

Bm- G - Em - A
for though i thought that i was strong that i could carry on

G-D-A
awash in the illusion of this bliss

Verse
D - F#m - Em - A
here i go again back into the flame
D - F#m - Em - A
like a moth so willing to be burned

Bm- G - Em - A
a little touch a little taste the pheromones embrace

G-D-A
and i get weak with every breath i take

Chorus
Bm - G - D - A
cause (and) it's you who released me it's you who gave me fire
Bm- G- Em
oh and now it's impossible to grow

D - G - A
without breaking stride
D - G - A
i get so high

G D
take me out beyond the incline
G D
make it past the former fault line
G9/E G
for today i let the moment win

Verse
D - F#m - Em - A
here i go again saying things i shouldn't say
D - F#m - Em - A
just so i can hear them back from you

G D
oh you know i shouldn't stay
G D
i should be on my way
G D A
back to a place i know is real
G D
but the lines are getting blurred
G D
my conscience won't be heard
G D A
awash in the illusion of this bliss

Chorus
