VERSE 1:

D A G
Look at that green out through the screen
D
After a quick rain came so fast that
A G
There wasn't time to roll up the windows

And pull the clothes down off the line
D A
I don't care it was so dry
G
And the grass is happy
D
And i think 'so am i'
A G
'cause i'm through thinking about you

CHORUS:

A E7 G
And for now i'm out at the hideout
A D G
Far enough outside of town
A D
You can come, you can stay
E7 G
If there's something you need
A
To get away from

D A G x 2

VERSE 2:

D A G
Look at the day dropping away

hear the traffic pass along
D
a distant sideroad down the way
A G
i think the dust has settled on me
D A
but i don't care, it was so calm
G
i knew i wouldn't stay forever
D
knew i'd get some things together
A G
and move on

CHORUS:

A E7 G
And for now i'm out at the hideout
A D G
Far enough outside of town
A D
You can come, you can stay
E7 G
If there's something you need
A
To get away from

BRIDGE:

Bm G
I just thought of you
Bm G
And what you said
Bm G
Laid out on the pullout
A
Did you forget?
you said you wouldn't forget

Far enough from being found
