[Verse 1]
G F Am D G
In my hurry, I can ever seem to get nowhere
G F Am
When I play it out
D G
Close my eyes and I am halfway there
G F Am D G
All I carry is this remedy to seek you again
G F Am
So I'm sending out this signal that I'??m traveling to
D G
As fast as I can

[Chorus]
Em D C G
To the crowded station gate
Em D C G
A month of Sundays just to make it through
Em D C G
Another window in this terminal wait
C G Am
There ain't no easy way to pay these dues
G F C G
Save for these transcendental meditation blues

G F G F Em C

[Verse 2]

I don't worry the old black man beside me has got a smile on his face

I know I'm weary now, I know that this old greyhound

[Chorus]
Em D C G
Damnedest dixie highway run
Em D C G
Old dead dog in these trisco shoes
Em D C G
A dollar short and the same old song

G F C G
So I sing these Transcendental Meditation Blues

When I'm broke down are you waiting?

Em G C G
Miles to go and mountains to move

Through the brambles and the broken avenues
