[Intro]

G Bm C G G6sus2 D D7 D

[Verse]

G Bm
Mama I must move from San Francisco
C G G6sus2 D D7 D
I wanna live in Hot Springs, Arkansas
C G
There’s a girl I seen
Bm C
And she wants to be with me
D G
And they say that she may wear my ring

[Verse]

G Bm
Well I ain’t found nothin’ but trouble
C G G6sus2 D D7 D
Right here in this city by the bay
C G
But if I move down south
Bm C
I might just figure it out
D G
And there’s a girl down there that’ll ease my worry and doubt

[Chorus]

C D G
But they ain’t got no freedom movement
C D G
And I’m afraid I might end up in chains
Bm C
I move if I blend in
Bm C
Now that might be a sin
D G
Sometimes I wish that I could just live

[Verse]

G Bm
There’s a nice two-bedroom waitin’ for me
C G G6sus2 D D7 D
There’s a simple life for me to lead
C G
But if I don’t go now
Bm C
Well then I’ll probably go without
D G
And I don’ wanna be a man who sits and waits around

[Chorus]

C D G
But they ain’t got no freedom movement
C D G
And I’m afraid I might end up in chains
Bm C
I move if I blend in
Bm C
Now that might be a sin
D G
Sometimes I wish that I could just live

[Verse]

G Bm
When I opened up my wild eye’s this morning
C G G6sus2 D D7 D
I seen that goddamn bill got passed the house
C G
Well I can’t live anywhere else
Bm C
Where I can be myself
D G
So that idea of country livin's thrown right off the shelf

[Chorus]

C D G
But they ain’t got no freedom movement
C D G
And I’m afraid I might end up in chains
Bm C
I move if I blend in
Bm C
Now that might be a sin
D G
Sometimes I wish that I could just live oh
C D G
Sometimes I wish that I could just live

[Outro]

G C G C
