RX Bandits

Never Slept So Soundly

by RX Bandits
RX Bandits

Biography:

Rx Bandits is a four-member band based in Seal Beach, California, United States. Their musical style is an eclectic mix of progressive rock, punk, and reggae deemed groove tech by the band.

The band started out in 1995, amid other popular southern California ska-influenced acts such as Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Of the original line-up, only singer/songwriter Matt Embree and drummer Chris Tsagakis remain. Their first two releases were recorded with bassist James Salomone and trombonist Rich Balling.

F#m G#m
Couldn't see the moon
C#m
When she came tonight
F#m G#m C#m
Emptiness inside her filled my room
F#m G#m
I know its only distance
B C#m
But its feels just like the end
F#m G#m C#m
I won't ask this same old question

F#m G#m C#m
Adamant resistance to my lasting desires
F#m G#m C#m
Searching for an explanation to why I sleep alone
F#m G#m
Oh I'm not darling anymore
B C#m
If you call you just use my name
F#m G#m
Let these clenched fists open wide to see
A B
Where all the answers lie

E
Looking for a sign that I'm still alive
E
With these pilled up smiles
E
And these sloppy eyes yeah
C#m A B A
Oh isn't that the truth?
E
And all the hollow whisperings
E
From between your sheets
E
All the maybes in the world
E
Don't mean anything now
C#m A B A
Pray its over soon
C#m
Never slept so soundly
G#m F#m
Than with your breath on my neck

F#m G#m
The Present has no future
C#m
The future has no past
F#m G#m
The past is just a graveyard
C#m
For the lonely ghost regret
F#m G#m
It's so hard to say good-bye
B C#m
When I shake too much to hold
F#m G#m
Let this blood within me run
A B
So I can see the answers dry

E
Looking for a sign that Im still alive
E
With this junky smile and these sloppy eyes Yeah
C#m A B A
Oh isn't that the truth?
E
And all the hollow whisperings
E
From between yoursheets
E
All the maybes in the world don't mean anything now
C#m A B A
I pray its over soon

Finding our directions

F#m
Finding our direction
G#m
Let it lead the way
A
Part of what you borrowed
G#m
Can never be replaced
F#m
So pardon my deflection baby
G#m
There's no more blood to bleed

A B B B B
But if I can I'll be sewing up the seeds
B B B B
Picking up what's left of me
E E
To sing together

E
Looking for a sign that I'm still alive
E
With these pilled up smiles and these sloppy eyes
C#m A B A
Oh isn't that the truth?
E
And all the hollow whisperings
E
From between the sheets
E
All the maybes in the world don't mean a thing
C#m A B A
Isn't that the truth?

E
And I'm looking for reason that Im still alive with
E
These pilled up smiles and these sloppy eyes
C#m A B A
Isn't that the truth?
E
And all the hollow whisperings
E
From between your sheets
E
All the maybes in the world don't mean anything now
C#m A B A
Pray its over soon

C#m
I never slept so soundly
F#m G#m
Than with your breath on my neck
