Working Man

by Rush
Rush

Biography:

Rush was a Canadian rock band made up of Geddy Lee (bass, vocals, keyboards), Alex Lifeson (guitars), and Neil Peart (drums, percussion, lyrics). Formed in 1968 in Toronto, Canada, the band went through several configurations until arriving at its longest and most popular line-up when Peart replaced original drummer John Rutsey in July 1974, two weeks before the group's first tour of the United States. The band retired after 50 years of playing together

I do not own any rights to this song, so use it appropriately.

i apologize in advance if this tab is a little difficult to understand with the figure 1 and whatnot,
but give the tune a listen and you'll get it. Its pretty easy and very fun to play.

Working Man by Rush

E D A E C D E D A E C D

E D A
I get up at seven or eight
E C D
And I go to work at nine
E D A
I got no time for livin'
E C D
Yes, I'm workin' all the time
E
It seems to me
D A
I could live my life
E C D
A lot better than I think I am

E D A
I guess that's why they call me
E C D
They call me the workin' man
[ Figure 1 ]
They call me the workin' man

I guess that's what I am
E D A E C D E D A E C D

E D A
I get home at five o'clock
E C D
And I take myself out a nice, cold beer
E D A
Always seem to be wonderin'
E C D
Why there's nothin' goin' down here
E
It seems to me
D A
I could live my life
E C D
A lot better than I think I am

E D A
I guess that's why they call me
E C D
They call me the workin' man
[ Figure 1 ]
They call me the workin' man

I guess that's what I am

[ Solo ] E D A E C D x4

[ Figure 1 ]
Well they call me the workin' man

I guess that's what I am

[ sweet bass break ]
[ guitar solo for days ]

E D A E C D x30,

if you want; i don't really hear any rhythm guitar under the solo

E D A
Well, I get up at seven or eight,
E C D
And I go to work at nine
E D A
Don't got time for livin' yeah
E C D
'cause I'm workin' all the time
E D A
Seems to me, I could live my life,
E C D
A lot better than I think I am
E D A
I guess that's why they call me
E C D
They call me the workin' man
[ Figure 1 ]
They call me the workin' man

I guess that's what I am
E D A
They call me the workin' man
E C D
I guess that's what I am
