Rush

New World Man

by Rush
Rush

Biography:

Rush was a Canadian rock band made up of Geddy Lee (bass, vocals, keyboards), Alex Lifeson (guitars), and Neil Peart (drums, percussion, lyrics). Formed in 1968 in Toronto, Canada, the band went through several configurations until arriving at its longest and most popular line-up when Peart replaced original drummer John Rutsey in July 1974, two weeks before the group's first tour of the United States. The band retired after 50 years of playing together

E
He's a rebel and a runner, He's a signal turning green
He's a restless young romantic, Wants to run the big machine

Gadd9
He's got a problem with his poisons
But you know he'll find a cure
He's cleaning up his systems
E
To keep his nature pure

G C Am
Learning to match the beat of the Old World Man
G C Am
Learning to catch the heat of the Third World Man

E
He's got to make his own mistakes
And learn to mend the mess he makes
G C
He's old enough to know what's right
Am
But young enough not to choose it
G C
He's noble enough to win the world
Am
But weak enough to lose it
E Dsus2 A/C# E
He's a New World Man...

E
He's a radio receiver
Tuned to factories and farms
He's a writer and a ranger
And a young boy bearing arms

Gadd9
He's got a problem with his power
With weapons on patrol
He's got to walk a fine line
E
And keep his self-control

G C Am
Trying to save the day for the Old World Man
G C Am
Trying to pave the way for the Third World Man

E
He's not concerned with yesterday
He knows constant change is here today
G C
He's noble enough to know what's right
Am
But weak enough not to choose it
G Cm
He's wise enough to win the world
Am
But fool enough to lose it
E
He's a New World Man...
