Hot 100 on CAPITOL Records in 1964.

INTRO:
D G C G
(Seen through the eyes of a fool.)

#1.
D G D
If I see someone hold her tight, that's all right,

they're just dancing.
D
If they're together in the moonlight, they're just
G
talking, not romancing.
G A
If I see her out with someone, it's just some old

friend from school.

CHORUS:
Gb D Am7 D Am7 G
That's how it looks through the eyes of a fool.

#2.
G D
If her phone rings and she whispers, I can't talk now..

I don't care.
D Am7 G
A personal matter and she'd rather not discuss it with

me there.
G A
If I see her smile at someone, that's not breaking any

rule.

CHORUS:
Dbm D G C G
That's how it looks through the eyes of a fool.

BRIDGE:
C G
They say that seeing is believing, believe me it's

not true.
A D
You can teach your eyes to only see the things you want

them to.
G A
So, I'd rather keep pretending, like a little child in

school.
Bm D G
And I'll keep looking through the eyes of a fool.

OUTRO:
Em7 G D G C G
Yes, I'll keep looking through the eyes of a fool.

A sixties smash from Kraziekhat.
