CHORUS:

C# D#m
So long, Dixie...
G#7 C#
Sweet Dixie girl, you sure had style!...
C# C#7
Recall those times we had
F# D#m
with all the good and bad!
G#7 C#
I'm glad I had you for a while...

I:

D# B
When we get the blues
E D#
We just shine up our shoes
G#m C# G#m C#
And head for Dixie's place
C# D#m
We sit ourselves right down
B D#m
And pass the Bourbon round
C#m D#m G# G#7
Let Dixie get on the case

CHORUS:

C# D#m
So long, Dixie...
G#7 C#
Sweet Dixie girl, you sure had style!...
C# C#7
Recall those times we had
F# D#m
with all the good and bad!
G#7 C#
I'm glad I had you for a while...

II:

D# B
Years go by,
E D#
some memories fade and die
G#m C# G#m C#
But, Dixie, you still shine
C# D#m
Now up here where it's cold
B D#m
Folks don't understand your soul
C#m D#m G# G#7
Dixie, you're still part of mine

CHORUS:

C# D#m
So long, Dixie...
G#7 C#
Sweet Dixie girl, you sure had style!...
C# C#7
Recall those times we had
F# D#m
with all the good and bad!
G#7 C#
I'm glad I had you for a while...

C# D#m
So long, Dixie...
G#7 C#
Sweet Dixie girl, you sure had style!...
C# C#7
Recall those times we had
F# D#m
with all the good and bad!
G#7 C#
I'm glad I had you for a while...
