Rocky Votolato

Biography:

Rocky Votolato is an American musician. He was born in rural Texas in 1978, though was raised in the Pacific Northwest. When his former band Lying on Loot disbanded in 1996, Rocky Votolato, along with friends Rudy Gajadhar (drums) and Andrew Hartley (bass), started playing under the name Waxwing. Rocky's younger brother Cody (The Blood Brothers) soon joined the band on second guitar, and the band recorded their debut 7" for Henry's Finest Recordings.

Intro (palm mute): C ///////

C Am Dm F
a brain that never stops ticking
sometimes an on-off switch would sure come in handy
a mind that's constantly cutting up and dissecting
looking for answers committing murders along the way

Am F
is it the red wire or the blue wire

(arpeggiated picking)
C5
just pick one and cut

G/B
it just doesn't matter anymore

(palm mute)
Am F
or did it ever

(arpeggiated picking)
C G/B C
cause I could never control when the bomb would explode

G
oh god I love you

Am
I mean forever

F C
I left my body behind to break the news

G
looks like it's over

Am F C
please remember all of the things I never got a chance to say

G Am
like you look smashing in your fourth grade picture

F C
the one that we hung by the door

G Am
in our house that was so beautiful

F
there in our little home

(palm mute)

the way it makes you feel

Am F
is it the red wire or the blue wire

(arpeggiated picking)
