Star Crossed Memories

by Robert Francis
Robert Francis

Biography:

Born in Los Angeles in 1987, Robert Francis grew up surrounded by music. His father is a classical music producer and eccentric owner of one of the largest collections of sheet music in the U.S. One of Francis' earliest memories is his father "blasting music at full volume in his cluttered office under fluorescent lights until 4 a.m. while I was trying to sleep in the room next door." His mother, one of nine sisters, grew up in Mexico in a town so small that "it's just dirt

Strangers In The First Place (2012)

CAPO: 5

VERSE: C F Dm G7 C
PRE CHORUS: Am F C G7 Am F G7
CHORUS: C Em F G7 C Em Am F
BRIDGE: Dm F C G7

VERSE:
Time, it's so hard to trace
when I can't see the looks on your face
after all, we're strangers in the first place.

If I'm not with you I'm drinking, smoking,
playing Russian roulette with a girl I just met
some obsession.

PRE CHORUS:
So in love and so mixed up it's not right
If holding on means being strong,
we're out of our minds

CHORUS:
I thought I told you
to breathe when you're going through
our star crossed memories
Look what you've done to me
It's no wonder we're so easy

VERSE:
Insecurities,
the've made a fool of us both
when we act on impulse
and we wind up alone

In somebody's bed,
staring at ceilings and finding
your clothes in the evening
your hands on your head,
what have I done you've said

PRE CHORUS:
When I'm so in love and
so mixed up it's not right
If holding on means being strong,
we don't got much time.

CHORUS:
I thought I told you
to breathe when you're going through
our star crossed memories
Don't laugh when you lie to me
It's no wonder we're so easy

BRIDGE:
So easy, So easy

CHORUS:
I thought I told you
to breathe when you're going through
our star crossed memories
Look what you've done to me
It's no wonder we're so easy

I thought I told you
to breathe when you're going through
our star crossed memories
You're still a part of me
It's no wonder we're so easy
It's no wonder we're so easy
