(Capo on 1)

Intro.: |(G)(Em)|(C)(G)| x 2

The (G)sun (Em)rise and (C)sun-(G)set, put down my
(Em)money I'll (C)place my (G)bets
Don't tell me (Em) this is as (C)good as it (G)gets, 'cause there's some (Em)things that
I've (C)never (G)had

Solo.: |(G)(Em)|(C)(G)| x 2

Like a (G)fire (Em)burnin' from the (C)inside (G)out, you had your (Em)questions and I
(C)had my (G)doubt
Sparks were (Em)flyin' in the (C)dead of the (G)night, but the flames burned (Em)out
like the (C)stars in the sky ---ai

(Chorus)u|E
'Cause we (G)could've had (D)love, (C) (G) but it
just wadn't (D)good E-(C)nough (G)
To hell with this (D)peace and the (C)soli-(G)tude, here comes the (D)day that I
(C)don't love you ---

Solo: Here comes the (G)day (Em)|(C)(G)|(G)(Em)|(C)(G)|

(G)I heard the (Em)warnings like A (C)siren
(G)wails, I just (Em)couldn't, (C)help my-(G)self
Here you are (Em)standing right (C)next to me, (G) so close (Em)now but you can
(C)barely see ---

'Cause we (G)could've had (D)love, (C) (G) but it
just wadn't (D)good E-(C)nough (G)
To hell with this (D)peace and the (C)soli-(G)tude, here comes the (D)day that I
(C)don't love you

(Bridge)
'Cause you (D)burnt that bridge and you (C)walked away, (G) (D)here, comes the (C)day (G)
That the (D)tears fall right, (C)off your (G)cheeks, 'cause you (D)did to you what you
(C)done to me

Solo.: |(G)(Em)|(C)(G)| x 4 ---

(Chorus with rhythm break)
'Cause we (G)could've had (D)love, (C) (G) but it
just wadn't (D)good E-(C)nough (G)
To hell with this (D)peace and the (C)soli-(G)tude, here comes the (D)day that I
(C)don't love you

(Chorus)u|E
(G)Could've had (D)love, (C) (G) but it just wadn't
(D)good E-(C)nough (G)
To hell with this (D)peace and the (C)soli-(G)tude, here comes the (D)day that I
(C)don't love (G)you

Outro.: |(G)(D)|(C)(G)| x 4 -----
