D# C#
All hail, the jester has landed
D# C#
In flyover country he sings
G# B
Charmed like a snake in a basket
D# C#
Should be curled up and ready to spring

D# C#
We're raising our cross just to burn it
D# C#
The clergy are selling their souls
G# B
Clearing a path, ignoring the facts
D# C#
Intoxicated by the throne

B F# C# G#
We'll be standing here holding our ground, come what may
B F# C#
Like a ghost haunts from beyond the grave

D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the end of the road
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# B C#
We've got nowhere else to go

D# C#
When we all go deaf in the chamber of echoes
D# C#
Cheering the missile parade
G# B
Agreeing to let all the banks rob the people
D# C#
Together we circle the drain

B F# C# G#
We'll be standing here holding our ground, come what may
B F# C#
Like a ghost haunts from beyond the grave

D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the end of the road
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# B C#
We've got nowhere else to go

D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the end of the road
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# B C#
We've got nowhere else to go

D#
It’s a game, you’ve been played
F#
It’s a flock, you’re the sheep
G# B C#
It’s a pied-piper song that has lulled you to sleep
D# F#
It’s a lie and you fell for it - hook, line, and sinker
G# B C#
A hand that you shook that then gave you the finger
D# F#
A fraud and a fake, a cowardly king
G# B C#
A lie to your face, but you still kiss the ring
D# F#
This is the breakdown, this is the breakdown
G# B C#
This is the breakdown!

B F# C# G#
Standing here holding our ground, come what may
B F# C#
Like a ghost haunts from beyond the grave

D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the end of the road
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# B C#
We've got nowhere else to go

D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the end of the road
G# D# F# C#
Welcome to the breakdown
G# B C#
We've got nowhere else to go
B C#
It's not much, but this is home
B C# D#
And there's nowhere else to go
