[Verse 1]
G D G
There's more that rises in the morning than the sun
D/F# Em D C
More that shines in the night than just the moon
Am Dsus D G D/F# Em
There's more than just this fire here that keeps me warm
A Dsus D
In a shelter that is larger than this room

G D G
There's a loyolty that's deeper than mere sentiment
D/F# Em D C
And a music higher than the songs that I can sing
Am Dsus D G D/F#3
The stuff of earth competes for the allegiance
A Dsus D
I owe only to the giver of all good things

[Chorus]
G C Em A Dsus D Dsus
So if I stand let me stand on the promise that you will pull me through
Am C Em Dsus D G C Em D
And if I can't let me fall on the grace that first brought me to you
G C Em A Dsus D Dsus D
If I sing let me sing for the joy that has born in me these songs
Am Em Dsus G C Em D
But if I weep let it be as a man who is longing for his home

[verse 2]
G D G
There's more that dances on the prairies than the wind
D/F# Em D C
More than pulses in the ocean than the tide
Am Dsus D G Em
There's a love that fiercer than the love between friends
A Dsus D
More gently than a mother's when her baby's at her side

G D G
And there's a loyalty that's deeper than mere sentiment
D/F# Em C
A music higher than the songs that I can sing
Am Dsus D G D/F# Em
The stuff of earth competes for the allegiance
Asus A Dsus D
I owe only to the giver of all good things

[Chorus]
