[Intro]
is the same as the verse pattern throughout

G C G G / G C D D / G C G Em / C D G G

G C G G
I got arizona residency one day too late
G C D D
To vote on this election day
G C G Em
And Every year before I've been too drunk to register
C D G G
Then I'd say, "I don't believe in it anyway"
G C G G
I still shake my head at ballots cast for elephants
G C D D
And shake my head at ballots cast for donkeys
G C G Em
Because I swear to god our leaders will be death of us
C D G G
There's no ballot we can cast to set us free
G C G G
But there's no brick we can throw that will end poverty
G C D D
And we can't blow up SB1070
G C G Em
Things will never be as simple as when I was twelve years old
C D G G
Reading Karl Marx in my bedroom alone
G C G G
Since there have been laws, there have been criminals
G C D D
There have been thieves since there's been property
G C G Em
And the day will come again when none of those things are around
C D G G
I just hope it's before people go extinct
G C G G
So vote November 2nd if it seems right to you
G C D D
Or don't vote if you think it just holds us down
G C G Em
Just tell me what we're gonna do on November 3rd To make sure there's no
C D G G
government left to elect two years from now
G C G Em
Just tell me what we're gonna do on November 3rd To make sure there's no
C D G G
government left to elect two years from now
