Popsicle - Hey Princess (1992)
Chords 27/11-2012 by Jon Malmin ([email protected])
Tuning: Standard E (Capo 2nd fret)

G
I hear the summer's almost gone
and maybe everything is done
C C/B
and anyway it's so confusing now
Am7 G
I can't remember how we got to where we are
G
I see you everywhere around
I hear your voice in every sound
C C/B
and though I know that it just couldn't be
Am7
Something responds in me
D Cadd9
and I am hopelessly beyond myself

Chorus:
G Em7 Am7 C
So I shout: "Hey Princess, won't you come back home?"
G Em7 Am7 C
and I cry, I'm shaking and I'm on my own
G Em7 Am7
and I wisper your name until the morning comes
C D
"Hey Princess, you're the only one"

Everyday is running grey
Doesn't matter how I try
Don't know how I used to spend my time
I can't remeber now, it seems so long ago
So I keep wondering what to say
if you should ever cross my way
I write it down and tear it up again
it seems so stupid when
it leaves my mind out there, there's nothing left

[Chorus]

G Am7 C
And I really need to have you here beside me now
G Am7 C
And I'm so overbooked, so sensitive I'm sliding now
G Am7 C
Through lousy weather, radio and magazines
G Am7 C
And pictures of some happy end that could have been
D7sus2
could have been, could have been

[Chorus]

Outro solo: G Am7 C (x8)
The song ends on a G!

D7sus2:
