Polar Bear Club

Screams In Caves

by Polar Bear Club
Polar Bear Club

Biography:

Polar Bear Club is a punk rock/post-hardcore band from Rochester and Syracuse, New York. A demo released in 2005 brought them much attention, and was a precursor to their first EP, The Redder, the Better, released in Summer 2006 on Triple Attack and Luchador Records. The EP contained catchy, pop-punk songs with lots of of opportunities for energetic sing-a-longs, and was found to be a fan and zine favorite throughout the year.

The band's debut full-length

PBC would often use odd chord voicings; this is just a bare-bones chart so you can play
and sing along. Please keep that in mind while rating. If you have any comments or corrections,
please share!

[Verse]

F G
Fighting with the bottle drinking me
Am G
Sunrise on red eyes
F G
I'll take my one-man army to the streets
Am G
For this week's story

[Interlude]

F G Am G

[Verse]

F G
Washed up but he loves to say the lines
Am G
To empties on car seats
F G
Most of the nights he starts as two of five
Am G C
With no chance to out man

[Chorus]

F C G F
Ah-oh, The movie in my head is dragging on
C G F C
Turn it off and we’ll shut in on the songs that play
G Am
In your heart like screams in caves
F C G Am C
And talks that stay ‘till dark turns into oncoming today
N.C.
You want a friend for life just listen to me

[Interlude]

F G Am G

[Verse]

F G
I know how good it looks before it's gone
Am G
The late bloom of a cold room
F G
The bar lit star who always plays it wrong
Am G C
Drinks to first tries on his last night

[Chorus]

F C G F
Ah-oh, The movie in my head is dragging on
C G F C
Turn it off and we’ll shut in on the songs that play
G Am
In your heart like screams in caves
F C G Am G
And talks that stay ‘till dark turns into oncoming today
C
You want a friend for life just listen to me

[Interlude]

C F (x4)

[Bridge]

C F
Fall to know it's fine, we can't expect much better
C F
The trade for better times, the turn down without question
Am G
Don't you feel the pull? It's stronger now than ever
F G
It left like melting snow and came back tough as leather
C F
Fall to know it's fine, we can't expect much better
C F
The trade for better times, the turn down without question
Am G
Don't you feel the pull? It's stronger now than ever
F G C
It left like melting snow and came back tough as leather

[Outro]

C F
Wa-ah-ah-oh
C F Am
Wa-ah-ah-oh wo-ah-oh
G
Wa-ah-ah-oh
F G C
Wa-ah-ah-oh wo-ah-oh
