Pavement was an indie rock band that formed in Stockton, California in 1989. For most of the period to 1999, the band consisted of Stephen Malkmus (vocals, guitar), Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg (guitar, vocals), Mark Ibold (bass), Steve West (drums) and Bob Nastanovich (percussion, vocals). PAVEMENT- STEREO
Brighten the Corners (1997)

Verses technically are [N.C] as there's no guitar and the bass repeats the intro, but if you want to play it
acoustically or whatever just do A the whole time.

[Verse 1]
A
Pigs, they tend to wiggle when they walk
A
The infrastructure rots
A
And the owners hate the jocks
A
With their agents and their dates
A
If the signatures are checked (You'll just have to wait)
A
And we're counting up the instants that we save
A
Tired nation so depraved
A
From the cheap seats see us
A
Wave to the camera
A
It took a giant ramrod
A
To raze the demon settlement

[Pre-chorus]
A G D
But high-ho silver, ride
A G D
High-ho silver, ride
D A
Take another ride to see me home

[Chorus 1]
A
Listen to me!
G D
I'm on the stereo, stere oh-oh
A
Oh, my baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, babe
G D
Gave me malaria, hysteri a-ah

[Verse 2]
A
What about the voice of Geddy Lee
A
How did it get so high?
A
I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy? (I know him and he does!)
A
And you're my fact-checkin' cuz(Aww...)

[Interlude]
A (repeat while drum machine beat plays)

[Verse 3]
A
Well focus on the quasar in the mist
A
The Kaiser has a cyst
A
And I'm a blank want list
A
The qualms you have and if they stick
A
They will drown you in a crick
A
In the neck of a woods
A
That was populated by
A
Tired nation on the fly
A
Everybody knows advice
A
That was given out for free
A
Lots of details to discern
A
Lots of details

[Pre-chorus]
A G D
But high-ho silver, ride
A G D
High-ho silver, ride
D A
Take another ride to see me home

[Chorus 1]
A
Get off the air!
G D
I'm on the stereo, stere oh-oh
A
Oh, my baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, babe
G D
Gave me malaria, hysteri a-ah

End on A5
