G - Em - C (2x)

G
Id rather stand on the edge of a cliff
Em
And hang my toes over a bit,
C
And then jump when they dare me,
D G
Even if it scares me and I get hurt.
G
Id rather build my wings on the way down,
Em
Do my best not to fall to the ground
C
and then laugh at my mistakes
D G
cause theyre only lessons Ill learn

Chorus:
C D
Id rather burn with desire deep in my soul,
G Em
And love like a fire thats out of control,
C D
and laugh and dance and fall
G D
and chance and kiss
C
Id rather live my whole life
D
with a sense of abandon,
G
Squeeze every drop out,
Em
no matter what happens.
C D
And not wonder what Ive missed
Em D/F# G
Id rather risk.

G
Well I guess I could just play it safe
Em D C G
and forget about love, hope and faith,
C
with my eye on the shore line,
D G
keeping my boat tied and staying home,
G
ohhh but Ill never discover new land
Em
by keeping my feet on the sand
C
No Id rather set sail
D G
and get carried away by the storm.

Chorus:
C D
Id rather burn with desire deep in my soul,
G Em
And love like a fire thats out of control,
C D
and laugh and dance and fall
G D
and chance and kiss
C
Id rather live my whole life
D
with a sense of abandon,
G
Squeeze every drop out,
Em
no matter what happens.
C D
And not wonder what Ive missed
Em D/F# G Em D/F# G
Id rather risk.
Em D/F# G
I would rather risk

C D
Id rather burn with desire deep in my soul,
G Em
And love like a fire thats out of control,
C
Id live my whole life
D
with a sense of abandon,
G
Squeeze every drop out,
Em
no matter what happens.
C D
And not wonder what Ive missed
Em D/F# G
Oh I just cant resist,
D G
The chance to risk

G D C D Em C D
