Building a house so we can fall at the first brick
G C
If the cement don't stick, but I've been told

G
I don't second guess too much
G
Shake my ties and I'm not that wise
G
I'm not a grown up as such
C
All of the talk about a ring and a baby
C
Gets me every time
D
Am I big enough, strong enough
D
To walk along your life

G
Building a house so we can fall at the first brick
G C
If the cement don't stick, but I've been told
D G
That it only gets harder from there.

G
You say I'm always on the hustle
G
That I don't know just how good I get it
G
And that there's plenty of men out there with money and muscle
G
Look at these hips and baby don't you forget them
C
But the curls will go, the money we'll spend
C
What we're left with in the end
D
oh she's wandering happy, she's taking here claim
D
I said who's that bitch with my second name

G
Building a house so we can fall at the first brick
G C
If the cement don't stick, but I've been told
D G
That it only gets harder from there.

C
Yeah baby, truth be told
G
I'm only trying to keep our heads above the water
C
Responsibility eternal monogamy
D G
I'm not a father child, are you a mother are you
G
Oh my pride and joy
C D G
Yeah you, you are my pride and joy

G
Building a house so we can fall at the first brick

If the cement don't stick, but I've been told
