Pam Tillis

Sunset Red And Pale Moonlight

by Pam Tillis
Pam Tillis

Biography:

Pam Tillis (born July 24, 1957 in Plant City, Florida) is an American country music singer and actress. The daughter of singer Mel Tillis, she grew up in Nashville, TN surrounded by music. At age eight, she sang on the Grand Ole Opry.

Rhinestoned says it all. No other word, real or invented for the occasion, sums up as well where Pam Tillis stands now.

She is, after all, a superstar as well as a survivor. A child of Music City royalty and a former rebel, she was determined to find her own way as a singer and songwriter — and she succeeded.

[Intro]
G - C - D - G - C - D

[Verse 1]
G C
We gave the day up to a hot back road
D G
And let it take us out of town
G C
To a spot down by the river
D G
To watch the sun go down
G C
We must have sat and talked for hours
D G
Not giving in to the night
G C
And that day I saw the sunset
D G
In a whole new light

[Chorus]
C G
Now the stars came out like diamonds,
C D
On a deep blue satin sky,
C
He said from where he stood,
G
Honey you sure look good,
C D
In sunset red and pale moonlight,

[Verse 2]
G C
Later we pulled out the blanket
D G
When we felt the evening chill,
G C
Oh and he wrapped his armes around me,
D G
That's when time stood still,

[Chorus]
C G
Now the stars came out like diamonds,
C D
On a deep blue satin sky,
C
He said from where he stood,
G
Honey you sure look good,
C D
In sunset red and pale moonlight,
C G
Now the stars came out like diamonds,
C D
On a deep blue satin sky,
C
He said from where he stood,
G
Honey you sure look good,
C D
In sunset red and pale moonlight,
C D G
In sunset red and pale moonlight,
