This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

Tuning: Drop D

[Note]
Picking pattern is played in the verses, pre-chorus and outro.
In the chorus mainly play the bass notes on the low D string hit the A string in between.
When playing only chords mainly hit the lower strings for the best sound! :)
The strumming for the chorus should all be played muted, but as there's no way to represent a strum which
is both muted and accented, the heavier strums have been left unmuted to show the contrast.

[Verse 1]
Dadd4
Last night I smoked a cigarette
Gmaj7 Em
My dad would have been so upset
Dadd4
Then we got tattoos by the coast
Gmaj7 Em
And I stood there just like a ghost

[Pre-Chorus]
Dadd4
Maybe I’m an old soul trapped in a young body
Gmaj7 Em
Maybe you don’t really want me there at your birthday party
Dadd4
I’ll be there in the corner, thinking right over
Gmaj7 Em
Every single word of the conversation we just had

[Chorus]
Dadd4
So why am I like this? Why am I like this? Why am I like this? Why am I...
Gmaj7 Em
Why am I like this? Why am I like this? Why am I like this? Why am I...
Dadd4
Why am I like this? Why am I like this? Why am I like this? Why am I...
Gmaj7 Em
why am I like this?

[Verse 2]
Dadd4
I saw a girl crying on the train
Gmaj7 Em
Gin and tonic from a can to ease the pain
Dadd4
I never asked if she was OK
Gmaj7 Em
She just got up and walked away

[Bridge]
Bm A Em
It's like I'm looking down from the ceiling above
G5
Never in the moment, never giving enough
Bm A Em
Let’s go out and shout the words we never said
G5
I got my mistakes on loop inside my head, inside my head

[Chorus]

[Outro]
Dadd4
Maybe I’m an old soul trapped in a young body
Gmaj7 Em
Maybe you don’t really want me there...
Dadd4
I’ll be there in the corner, thinking right over
Gmaj7 Em
Every single word of the conversation we just had
