this song is simple as pie, chord-wise. if you're familiar with the song (which I
assume you are, because if you have an interest in neutral milk hotel you most likely
listen to them obsessively) then this is cake. enjoy.

C
all I perceive is wasted and broken
F
silvery streams, sacred when spoken
C
slam into me and into the ditch of de-
F
bris... and you
C
smoke in the park and sleep in the greenery
F
everyone barks and they are all still believing, to
C
tear out your heart would send all your secrets to
F
me... but I let you
Em
down, and swollen and
F
small is where you'll find me
Em
now, with that silver stripping
F
off from my tongue you're tearing
Em
out, and you'll never hear me
F G
talk...

<I will glow" bit is - yep, you guessed it - just C and F alternating. you may be feeling
gypped by how easy this is, but remember: it's all in the delivery. one lyric has to flow
seamlessly and expressively into the next, so make sure you're comfortable with singing
this before you head off to try to impress girls with it.>>
