I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT LOVE (Nanci Griffith)
----------------------------------------------
[Thanks to [email protected] for the chords; I cleaned up the lyrics and added
the tab at the end...]
[Actually in F#; capo 2. Each chord is one measure.]
[E=022100, B(11)=x99800, A(9)=x77600, A=x02220, Am=x02210.]
[Try varying A(9) as x77607 and E as 022200, esp. at the end of the verse.]

E B(11) A(9) A(9) E B(11) A(9) A(9)
[intro; see tab at end]

E B(11)
I don't wanna talk about love
A(9) A(9)
'Cause I've heard it before, and it talks too loud
E B(11)
You can hear it in a disco midnight
A(9) A(9)
Shouting

E B(11)
And I don't wanna think about it, think about it
A(9) A(9)
Comes dressed in summer clothes
A Am E E
When you're traveling through the heart of the winter's cold

And I don't wanna talk about changes
Changes come of their own free will
And if you wanna talk about leavin'
Well you've always walked and you always will

And every time you talk about love
Well you talk about your yesterdays
Yesterday's washing away with this morning's rain

A Am
I don't wanna talk about it
E A
'Cause love has a voice of its own
A Am E E
If all we do is try to outshout it, then the love is gone

E B(11) A(9) A(9)
'Cause I don't wanna talk about love now
E B(11) A(9) A(9)
I don't wanna talk about love now
E B(11) A(9) A(9)
I don't wanna talk about love now
E B(11) A(9) A(9)
I don't wanna talk about love now

Can't you hear the voice in my heart
It calls your name in the middle of the night
It's always been a quiet voice
When it's breaking up

I don't wanna talk about this love
This love was my saving grace
So can't I just say that I love you and we'll call it a day

'Cause I don't wanna talk about love now
I don't wanna talk about love now
I don't wanna talk about love now
I don't wanna talk about love now

E B(11) A(9) A(9) E B(11) A(9) A(9)
