[Verse]
G Em D G
What’s the point waiting for the doorman to drop the key?
G Em D G
You’ll be gone long before this evil falls asleep.
G Em D G
What’s the point waiting for a better day to come along?
G Em D G
They will bow to their dogs before they see our reign come.

[Chorus]
G Csus2 G
First the French decamped and left us with the garbage.
G Csus2 G
Then our flag was dyed with Islam and Arabic.
Am G D
They forgot to whom this country once belonged.
Am G D
There is always someone here to take the throne.
G D G
Traitors, traitors, traitors.

[Verse]
G Em D G
Did you believe that they would listen just because they said they would?
G Em D G
How naïve! They’ve always been too righteous for their own good.
G Em D G
For you know, power is addictive to the one it wields.
G Em D G
They have sown with evil hands and harvest our tragedy.

[Chorus]
G Csus2 G
First the French decamped and left us with the garbage.
G Csus2 G
Then our flag was dyed with Islam and Arabic.
Am G D
They turned a blind eye to Algeria’s free men.
Am G D
We could have it all but were enslaved again.
G D G
Traitors, traitors, traitors.

[Verse]
G Em D G
All the same we will never let them have their filthy ways.
G Em D G
We remain! These are our mountains; this is our place.
G Em D G
We will break through the door and have what’s ours all along.
G Em D G
For without us Algeria is suffering on her own.

[Chorus]
G Csus2 G
So come the rain, come the wind come the hunger.
G Csus2 G
We won’t sit and wait for freedom any longer.
Am G D
We must sacrifice the arm to save the heart.
Am G D
We will split the land before it falls apart.
G Csus2 G
First the French decamped and left us with the garbage.
G Csus2 G
Then our flag was dyed with Islam and Arabic.
Am G D
But our roots go deep and our will is strong.
Am G D
We will cling onto the land where we belong.
G D G
Traitors, traitors, traitors.
G D Em D
