Millencolin

Puzzle

by Millencolin
Millencolin

Biography:

Millencolin is a punk rock band that was formed in October 1992 by Nikola Šarcevic, Mathias Färm, and Erik Ohlsson in Örebro, Sweden. In early 1993, drummer Fredrik Larzon joined the band. The name Millencolin is derived from the skateboard trick "melancholy".

The original lineup, consisting of Šarcevic (vocals & bass), Ohlsson (guitar), and Färm (drums), released their first demo tape, Goofy, in early 1993. Soon afterwards, Larzon joined the band to play drums, allowing Färm to perform as the second guitarist.

This another song from Millencolin: Puzzle.
Please put it up or tell me any necessary corrections with format etc.

Band: Millencolin (Nikola, Erik, Mathias, Larzon)
Song: PUZZLE
Album: FOR MONKEYS
Chords from: [email protected], [email protected]

WE DID IT !!! This is a brand new Millencolin song off their new album FOR MONKEYS. This chord/tab was a load of work, so we'd really appreciate your comments/corrections (if necessary). The powerchords are explained below the song.
PUZZLE - MILLENCOLIN
---------------------

INTRO(You gotta find out the rhythm by yourself, something fast):

A - E'' - D ------|
A - C# |- play this progression two times
A - F#''- E ------|

VERSE 1 (Guitar break / Bass plays alone, Vocals start):

Here we are again with another bunch of soft songs,
C# D E''
Maybe you are wondering why it took us so long,
A' (ska strummin' with clean upstrokes)
With a schedule tight, studiotime in sight, we have mostly been out touring
C# D E'' (pick scrape guitar 2)
Inspiration has been hard this time and honestly I've had some problems

with all these rhymes.

CHORUS(play loud and with lots of distortion, find the rhythm with the CD):
F# D E'' A - C#
We're under stress again, but it has always been that way
F# D E'' A - C#
And once we get it right, then I know it's there to stay

VERSE 2:
A A (A*) F# D A (<-palm muted)
Third album, less of ska and not so many fast ones
C# D E'' (<-open distortion)
More of poppy, pushy songs, those that we do best now
A A (A*) F# D A (<-palm muted)
Nine to five at Unisound in January NINETY-SEVEN
C# D E'' (<-open distortion)
We had the greatest time, with Dan as engineer, now the outcome is what you

hear

CHORUS(some lyric variety):
F# D E'' A - C#
We're under stress again, but it has always been that way
F# D E'' A - C#
And once we get it right, then I know it's there to stay
F# D E'' A - C#
We're under stress again, but we're used to all that now
F# D E'' A(leads to intro)
It's always tough at first but somehow we always end up fine

-REPEAT INTRO

BRIDGE (this one is really weird, let us know, if we messed it up):
E'' A'' - A**
If you're lonely or if you're happy
F#'' E'' E(low?)
Feeling swell or feeling blue we might have a tune for you
E'' A'' - A**
And it's about half of an hour,
F#'' E'' ---->A (palm muted)
Maybe less or maybe more whatever it might be it's still softcore

-Now you play a load of palm muted "A5" powerchords

-Then it turns to the chorus again:

A - A* - F#

F# D E'' A - C#
We're under stress again, but it has always been that way
F# D E'' A - C#
And once we get it right, then I know it's there to stay
F# D E'' A - C#
We're under stress again, but we're used to all that now
F# D E'' A(leads to intro)
It's always tough at first but somehow we always end up fine

-Play intro(now outro) chord progression 4 times, while they sing:

We always end up fine (We're under stress again) YEAH YEAH
----->end on A
We're under stress again, under stress again.

CHORD CHART(all powerchords played in different ways):

A E'' D C# F#'' A' F# A* A'' A**
e|--x----x----x----x----x----5----x----x----x----x-----|
B|--x----x----x----x----x----5----x----x----x----x-----|
G|--x----9----7----6----11---6----x----x----14---14----|
D|--7----9----7----6----11---7----4----7----14---14----|
A|--7----7----5----4----9----7----4----7----12---11----|
E|--5----x----x----x----x----5----2----4----x----x-----|

This is it!! You might have some problems with the A* and A** chords, if you do, just play them as E'' or leave them out. This part of song has so many effects, nobody'll care. Authors are:
Fichte: [email protected] and me: [email protected]
AND I THINK
