Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
On Silvertown Way the cranes stand high
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
Quiet and gray against the still of the sky
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
They won't quit and lay down though the action has died
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
They watch the new game in town on the Blackwall side

Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
From the poisonous drains a vision appears
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
A new circle of cranes, a new reason to be here
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
A big silver dome rising up into the dawn
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb Dm |
Above the church and the homes where all the silver is gone, gone, gone

Gm Bb C | Am |
If I'd a bucket of gold, what would I do
C Bb F Bb
I'd leave the story untold Silvertown blues

F Bb C Dm
I'm going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown
Bb C | F F F C |
Going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown

Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
A silver dawn steals over the docks
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
A truck with no wheels up on the cinderblocks
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb |
Men with no dreams around a fire in a drum
Dm Bb | Dm F | Bb Dm |
Scrap metal schemes rusted over and done, done, done

Gm Bb C | Am |
If I'd a bucket of gold, silver would do
C Bb F Bb
I'd leave the story untold Silvertown blues

F Bb C Dm
And I'm going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown
F Bb C | F F F C |
Going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown

Dm F Bb | Dm F | Bb |
When you're standing on thin and dangerous ice
Dm F Bb | Dm F | Bb |
You can knock and walk in for citizens' advice
Dm F Bb | Dm F | Bb |
They'll tell you where you can turn, where you can go
Dm F Bb | Dm F | Bb Dm |
There's nothing they can tell me I don't already know

Gm Bb C Am
If I'd a bucket of gold, silver would do
C Bb F Bb
I'd leave the story untold Silvertown blues

F Bb C Dm
And I'm going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown
F Bb C | F F F C |
Going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown

Dm F Bb | Dm F | Bb |
From the Canning Town train I see a billboard high
Dm F Bb | Dm F | Bb |
There's a big silver plane rising up into the sky
Dm F Bb | Dm F | Bb |
And I can make out the words 'seven flights every day'
Dm F Bb | Dm F | Bb Dm |
Says six of those birds are bound for JFK

Gm Bb C | Am |
If I'd a bucket of gold, silver would do
C Bb F Bb
I'd leave the story untold Silvertown blues

F Bb C Dm
And I'm going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown
F Bb C F
Going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown
C Dm F Bb F C Dm
And I'm going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown
C Bb C F
Going down in Silvertown, down in Silvertown

Solo: | F C | Dm F | Bb F | C | Dm F | Bb | C | C |
