Mark Erelli - Pilgrim Highway

CAPO: 5th Fret

[Intro]
C G Dm Am Em F C G C

[Verse 1]
G
I'm going down that Pilgrim Highway
Dm Am
Though none can say for certain where it leads
Em F
I believe someday I'll reach a place
C G C
Where all my burdens shall be released

[Verse 2]
G
So often tested through toil and trial
Dm Am
Onward from the moment we are born
Em F
We must be steadfast through every darkened mile
C G C
Travelling toward that everlasting morn

[Chorus]
G
So take my hand, brother
C
Take my hand, sister
F C
In each other we must confide
G
Many miles to cover
F
Before we are delivered
C G C
Down that Pilgrim Highway side by side

[Instrumental]
C G Dm Am Em F C G C

[Verse 3]
G
Though some we love may by the wayside fall
Dm Am
We shall never feel abandoned or alone
Em F
There'll be a glorious reunion with them all
C G C
Just beyond that last bend in the road

[Chorus]
G
So take my hand, brother
C
Take my hand, sister
F C
In each other we must confide
G
Many miles to cover
F
Before we are delivered
C G C
Down that Pilgrim Highway side by side

[Chorus]
N.C.
So take my hand, brother
Take my hand, sister
In each other we must confide
Many miles to cover
Before we are delivered
Down that Pilgrim Highway side by side

[Chorus]
G
So take my hand, brother
C
Take my hand, sister
F C
In each other we must confide
G
Many miles to cover

Before we are delivered

Down that Pilgrim Highway side by side
C G C
Down that Pilgrim Highway side by side
