[Verse 1]
A
Standin' on the edge of the yellow line
G
Waitin' on the train, but it never comes on time

This late
A
Take another drag of your cigarette

Playin' back week old messages
G
Just tyrin' to get it straight

[Chorus]
A D
Waitin' on you
G Em
I've been up all night, you've been on my mind
A D
I've been waitin' on you
G Em
But I have to try, baby, one more time
A D G
Did our signal get lost somewhere
A D G
'Cause I thought that you'd need me, yeah
A D G
Waitin' on you
A D G
Waitin' on you

[Verse 2]
A
Find a seat at Fairfax and order a drink
G
Open up a book I'll never read and stare
A
At a page
A
Make a little small talk with the people there

Keep myself distracted and pretend I care
G A
As night turns into day

[Chorus]
A D
Waitin' on you
G Em
I've been up all night, you've been on my mind
A D
I've been waitin' on you
G Em
But I have to try, baby, one more time
A D G
Did our signal get lost somewhere
A D G
'Cause I thought that you'd need me, yeah
A D G
Waitin' on you
A D G
I'm waitin' on you

[Verse 3]
A D G
Last call for the night, this one's on me
A D G Em
If you got a light, I could use a little company
A D G Em
Passed out on the last train and I woke up with a view
A D N.C.
Another day gone by and I'm still waitin' on you

[Chorus]
G Em
I've been up all night, you've been on my mind
A D
I've been waitin' on you
G Em
But I have to try, baby, one last time
A D G
Did our signal get lost somewhere
A D G
'Cause I thought that you'd need me
A D G
Waitin' on you
A D G
I've been waitin' on you
