Want to play this great new Manics song on the acoustic? No problem! Now pay attention:

Intro- G D Em

Remember to strum up the strings to make it sound as close to the real thing.
Listen carefully to the timing so you're playing it accurately once the verse starts.

Verse

Em G D Em G D Em
The more i see the less i scream
The figure 8 inside out is infinity

Em G A (still same timing)

Em G A Em G A G Em G D Em
The naked lightbulb is always wrong
G D Em
They make your break complete
G D Em G D Em G D Em (Em G C)*
Then they blow it to kingdom come

(*Em one strum, G two strums, C one strum. play it quickly. this is the fill
before the start of the chorus)

Chorus

C G Bm G (Em G C)
Riderless horses on chomsky's camelot

C G Bm Em (Em G C)
Bruises on my hands from digging my nails out
C Bm G (Em G C)
A series of images against you and me
C G Em Bm G G D Em
Trespass your torment if you are what you want to be

Verse

I once impersonated a shopwork dummy
The levi jean will always be stronger than an uzi
A dwarf takes his cockerel out on the cockfight
Falcons attack the pigeons in the west wing at night

Riderless horses on chomsky's camelot
Bruises on my hands from digging my nails out
A series of images against you and me
Trespass your torment if you are what you want to be

Riderless horses on chomsky's camelot
Bruises on my hands from digging my nails out
A series of images against you and me
Trespass your torment if you are what you want to be

---

The timing is key, as well as some snappy chord changes during the chorus to make
it work acoustically. being able to sing loudly in a register as high as james
dean bradfield also helps.

best of luck

jack anderton.
