[Intro]
Fmaj7 F C Fmaj7 C G

[Verse 1]
Am C
Slither slowly till you are close to me
Dm C G
Soon you may your colors be shown
Am Em
And I'll fall by your fangs if they ever let go of me
Dm Am
I suppose I should've known
F C
But it's no fault of yours, no it's only a curse
Dm C G
Beckoning on and on
Am Em
Though you'd never pull any trigger
Dm Am
You were left holding the gun

[Instrumental]
Fmaj7 F C Fmaj7 C G

[Verse 2]
Am C
Some beggars are born from good fortune
Dm C G
And freedom is a relative term
Am Em
Well I'd take it, Yes I'll take it
Dm Am
Much from a lesson never learned
F C
It's no fault of mine, I just stay in the lines
Dm C G
And color in all as I see
Am Em
It all comes to life as it comes into light
Dm Am
And I've colored the end of me

[Chorus]
F C
So bring down the night
Fmaj7 C G
Deep into now, to see it out

[Solo]
Am Fmaj7 C Dm G Am Em Dm Am

[Chorus]
F C
So bring down the night
Fmaj7 C G
Deep into now, to see it out

[Outro]
Am Em
Just slither away the same as you came
Dm Am C G Am
Back to your hooooole and hide
