Mae

Singularity

by Mae
Mae

Biography:

Mae is an American rock band that formed in Norfolk Virginia in 2001. The band's name is an acronym for Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience, which is derived from a concept called Multi-sensory Aesthetic Theory that drummer Jacob Marshall studied while a student at Old Dominion University.

Jacob Marshall and Dave Elkins began what would become Mae by writing their first song, "Embers and Envelopes", in Marshall's living room. The band signed with Tooth and Nail Records and released their first album, Destination: Beautiful, in 2003.

ok, this is my first published tab/chord-list-thing, so it's kinda basic, but heregoes:

chords used:
D, D9th, A, Am, G, G-bar-E_shape,
C

D9th G-bar:

E|o---- E|--1----|
B|--3-- B|--1----|
G|-1--- G|---2---|
D|o---- D|----4--|
A|*---- A|----3--|
E|*---- E|--1----|

INTRO/VERSE:
D-A-G-C-C-G(D?)-Am(?)
REPEAT
pre-chorus:
A-D-G-C-A-D-G-F
REPEAT
CHORUS:
A-D-G-C(quick little srum on the second "Oh")-A-D-F
repeat pre-chorus once.
BRIDGE:
I am unsure about the bridge, therefore, I will not post it so as not to confuse people
posting false information.
OUTRO:
D9th-A-F-G_bar
REPEAT.

the keyboard in the back is playing harmonic chords which make telling what the guitar
playing kinda fuzzy at best, but I think these are right. If you disagree, then I think
C and F are pretty much interchangeable most of the time in this song.
Listen to the song for beats and strum patterns, I'm not taking the time to wright them
