[Verse 1]
C7 G
I been rolling and drifting along the road
D7 G
Just looking for my room and board.

[Verse 2]
C7 G
Like a log I've been jammed on the bank
D7 G
So hungry, I feel lean and lank.

[Verse 3]
C7 G
Get me a pick and shovel, dig down in the ground
D7 G
Gonna keep on diggin' 'til the blues come down

[Verse 4]
C7 G
I've got the blues for my sweet man in jail
D7 G
And the judge won't let me go his bail

[Verse 5]
C7 G
I've been rolling and drifting along the road
D7 G
Gonna fix it, won't have to drift no more
