Lost Immigrants

Something Better

by Lost Immigrants
Lost Immigrants

Biography:

From a tradition of music rooted in heritage and home, honesty and hurt, sorrow and sunsets, emerge Lost Immigrants.

They are country music. They are rock.
They are saints. They are sinners.
They are idiots, and they are fools.
They are Texas Music.

This is their story. These are their songs.

The Lost Immigrants formed in fall 2004 with the birth of small collection of songs and an Americana music project. That collaboration led to weekly rehearsals, monthly gigs and frequent trips down Texas highways.

Something Better
By: Lost Immigrants
Album: Waiting on Judgement Day & Baptized
Standard Tuning (no capo)
Great Lyrics and fun track to play. Lyrics are probably not 100%, so any corrections would be appreciated.
Enjoy!

[Intro]
D G D G D G D G

[Verse]
D G D G
Well I hold the torch for a wrap around porch
D G D G
I can sit and watch the day gently fade away

I hear you loud and strong tellin' me I was wrong
D G D G D/F#
And I just walk on by 'cause you don't think I could try

[Chorus]
Em C
Maybe I could make it Maybe I could break it
Em D
And I could put it all back together again
G D C
You, you never realized what I could do
Em D G
Stars in your eyes now you made it true
D
While looking at the sky
C
You were searching for something better
Em D
When that better was right in front of you

I'm a King's man baby who's in love with his queen.

G D C
You, you never realized what I could do

Stars in your eyes now you made it true

While looking at the sky

You were searching for something better

When that better was right in front of you

Every night I train, lying next to me

You, you never realized what I could do
Em D G

You were searching for something better
Em D
When that better was right in front of you

Stars in your eyes you made it true
