[Intro] G D Em7 Cadd9

[Verse 1]

G Cadd9 D
I've had my picture made with Willie Nelson
G Cadd9 D
Stayed in a hotel with a pool
G
Driven through New Mexico
Cadd9 D
Where the Saguaro Cactus grow
G D Em7 Cadd9
And I felt really small under Mount Rushmore

[Pre-Chorus]

G D
And I made it all the way passed
Em7 Cadd9
Austin City Limits
G D
And maybe for a minute
Em7 Cadd9
I got too big for my britches

[Chorus]

G D Em7 Cadd9
But I'm just a dime store cowgirl
G D Em7 Cadd9
That's all I'm ever gonna be
G D Em7 Cadd9
You can take me out of the country
G D Em7 Cadd9
But you can't take the country out of me no

G D
Cause I'm still the girl from Golden
Em7 Cadd9
Had to get away so I could grow
G D
But it don't matter where I'm going
Em7 Cadd9
I'll still call my hometown home

G D Em7 Cadd9
G D Em7 Cadd9

[Verse 2]

G Cadd9 D
Slept in a room with the ghost of Gram Parsons
G Cadd9 D
And drank some wine I can't afford
G Cadd9 D
went to San Antonio to the river walk and rodeo
G D Em7 Cadd9
Seen the white cliffs of Dover from the shore

[Pre-Chorus]

G D
And I kinda fell in love with a
Em7 Cadd9
Palm springs trailer park
G D
But those California stars
Em7 Cadd9
Will never steal my heart

[Chorus]

G D Em7 Cadd9
Cause I'm just a dime store cowgirl
G D Em7 Cadd9
That's all I'm ever gonna be
G D Em7 Cadd9
You can take me out of the country
G D Em7 Cadd9
But you can't take the country out of me no

G D
Cause I'm still the girl from Golden
Em7 Cadd9
Had to get away so I could grow
G D
But it don't matter where I'm going
Em7 Cadd9
I'll still call my hometown home

G D Em7 Cadd9
G D Em7 Cadd9

[Bridge]

*NO CHORDS*
I'm happy with what I got
Cause what I got is all I need
Just 'cause it don't cost a lot
Don't cost a lot don't mean it's

G D Em7 Cadd9 G D Em7 Cadd9

Cheap

[Chorus]

G D Em7 Cadd9
Cause I'm just a dime store cowgirl
G D Em7 Cadd9
That's all I'm ever gonna be
G D Em7 Cadd9
You can take me out of the country
G D Em7 Cadd9
But you can't take the country out of me no

G D
Cause I'm still the girl from Golden
Em7 Cadd9
Had to get away so I could grow
G D
But it don't matter where I'm going
Em7 Cadd9 G D
I'll still call my hometown home
Em7 Cadd9
I'll still call my hometown home
