[Verse 1]

G Em
Two kids no tricks only rich in time
C D
Saying never look back,
C D
Throw out every song that we have
G Em
Make a move, trade a roof for the open sky,
C D
Livin on luck,
C D G D
Tethering our hopes to a pickup truck

[Chorus]

Am D
And they'll tell you honey,
G Em
you gotta know, gotta know where you're going,
Am D G Em
But you were my sun, my northern lights, my southern cross
Am D
If we're gonna die young
G Em
We're gonna die with a love song in our mouths
C D
Oh oh oh, oh oh oh

[Verse 2]

G Em
Two hearts, new start, every card is wild
C D
There in your arms,
C D
With the radio up and the windows down
G Em
Loose hands, slow dance under crooked stars
C D
We were clumsy at love,
C D G D
It was a shaky two step in a parking lot

[Chorus]

Am D
And they'll tell us dear,
G Em
You better fear, better fear it all,
Am D G Em
But you were my sun, my northern lights, my southern cross
Am D
If we're gonna die young,
G Em
we're gonna die with a love song in our mouths
C D
oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh

[Verse 3]

Am D G Em
Maybe my darling there's more than just following an endless road,
Am D G Em
Maybe someday we'll trade our freedom for a better home
Am D G Em
With a house and a yard and a son and a daughter and a steady job,
C D
But not today, but not today,

[Verse 4]

G Em
Two kids no tricks, only rich in time,
C D
Saying never look back,
C D G
Livin' every moment we've got
