Lady Lamb the Beekeeper

Biography:

Lady Lamb the Beekeeper (now known only as Lady Lamb) is the musical moniker of Aly Spaltro. Spaltro began her music career writing and recording songs in a DVD rental store in Brunswick, Maine, using the store as her studio after finishing her midnight shift at the cash register. She anonymously gave out free samples of her first demo CD under the name Lady Lamb The Beekeeper, and quickly gained local popularity.

G F# F Em A7
you are my grandfather's son and for that reason I need you near

G F# F Em A7
oooooh

G F# F Em A7
and on my insides I am haggard and on some insides there are vultures
G F# F Em A7
if they begin to ravage your love don't cower or run for cover
G F# F Em A7
don't feel bad you've gotta drown or smother them

G F# F Em A7
oooooh

G F# F
and I can't say whether I believe hearts are cultured

I can't say whether I care or whether it matters
G F# F Em A7
maybe hearts are better, better bitter, battered, filthy, vulgar
G F# F Em A7
maybe that's why the broken lonely ones they hold on a little longer

G F# F Em A7
oooooh
