G
After dark you come slipping back to me

D7 G
From the one who shares your name but scorns your love

G G7 C
While the one who has your name from scandal is free

D7 G
But the whole world my darling looks down on me

C G
Don't you think I have no pride or shame

C D7
Don't you care that we're the gossips of the town

G C
Does our love to you just mean a past time lark

G D7 G
Are you ashamed to be with me till after dark

G
Here out late I can't help but doubt your love

D7 G
So many things you've promised have turned to lies

G7 C
You say I'm your love and you're all mine

D7 G
I'm so tired of double talking your alibis

C G
Don't you think I have no pride or shame

C D7
Don't you care that we're the gossips of the town

G C
Does our love to you just mean a past time lark

G D7 G
Are you ashamed to be with me till after dark
