[Verse 1]

G
There's a harp in my heart,
C G
and only you can play it
G
There's a song in my broken soul,
C G
and only you can sing it

[Bridge 1]

C D G
You're so unpredictable, God,
C D G
just like the rhythm, the rhythm of weeping
C D Em
And my life is so upside down
G
But you keep on coming, coming around
D G
You keep on loving, I still let you down

[Verse 2]

G
There's a harp in my heart,
C G
and only you can play it
G
There's a song in my broken soul,
C G
and only you can sing it

[Bridge 2]

C D G
I hear those curfew bells are ringing,
C D G
but I just can't stop my singing
C D Em
I've got to tell just one more person,
G
Never give up, keep on dreaming
D G
Quieter than rain, He knows all your pain

[Verse 3]

G
There's a cry I have had
C G
that I could love my brother
G
And not look at the race,
C G
Their religion or their color

[Bridge 3]

C D G
You love the Presbyterians, God
C D G
you love the gays and the lesbians
C D Em
You love the Buddists and the prostitutes
G
You're not like us, we always change
D G
You see through our sin, and You love us anyway

[Bridge 4]

G C D G
Oh, I wish that you would put the words in my mouth, God
C D G
To tell the world what you're really like
C D Em
You're not some dead God who lives in our buildings
G
But a Father of kindness, a Son of forgiveness,
D
a Spirit who helps me
G
Yeah thats who You are
