He has his Capo on the 5th fret, but he must've had his guitar dropped half a step since Capo 4 sounds right.

I'm not 100% on the transition between Chorus and Verse. Please feel free to add a correction to it. Enjoy!

[Intro]

Strum muted strings 4 times, then go right into the 1st Verse.

[Verse]

Am F
The Future was a Plane through a skylight
C Em
Over Tribeca at 8:45
Am F
My brother, at a conference room table
C Em
Watched the future rearrange all our lives.

[Pre-Chorus]

F C F C
I was sleeping in her bed for the future
F C G C
1st & 20th, five miles away
F C F C
Her roommate knocked, he was a relative stranger
F C G Em
"Kev, I need you to come out here, okay?" "Okay."

[Verse]

Am F
The future was me, drunk at my desk job:
C Em
"Update the database, reflect the deceased."
Am F
Cantor Fitzgerald as a digital graveyard
C Em
Next to each name, I typed a lowercase "d"

[Pre-Chorus]

F C F C
I was frightened by the face of the future
F C G C
It had the teeth of perpetual war
F C F C
I called my father, he said, "I know, I see it.
F C G Em
I thought it made sense. I don't anymore."

[Chorus]

C Am F
The mosque on my corner
C Am G
The firetrucks everywhere
C Am F
The anger, The mourners
C Am G
No History, it's dead in the air

[Interlude]

D G C F

[Verse]

Am F
The future was an ad during football:
C Em
"We are supported by the will of the world."
Am F
From the floor, I felt everything tilting
C Em
I watched my brother hold his 10 month old girl

[Pre-Chorus]

F C F C
Fifteen years later, and we're still in the future
F C G C
The blood and money don't fix anything
F C F C
We've grown accustomed to the depths of the danger
F C G Em
This is the future: severe and always happening

[Chorus]

C Am F
The mosque on my corner
C Am G
The firetrucks everywhere
C Am F
The anger, The mourners
C Am G
No History, it's dead in the air

[Outro]

C Am G
No History, it's dead in the air

D G C F

Am
