[Verse 1]
E A
I walked into this bar and the man refused;
E A
He said, "We don't serve strangers in blue suede shoes;
E A
We don't give credit, and we don't give way
E A
We have to think about what the people might say..
E A
Uh, you know what I mean" I said, "Sure, man"
E A

[Verse 2]
E A
Oh, he gave me a smile that was sickly and wet,
E A
And I offered him one of my cigarettes.
E A
He took it, afraid that he might appear rude,
E A
Then proceeded to sell me some second class food.
B A G F#
Nice guy meet 'em everywhere

[Verse 3]
E A
He said, "My oh my, I have suffered too long,
E A
And this cigarette seems to be very strong;
E A
I don't make the rules, I just get what I take
E A
And I guess every rule was made to break.
E A
You can take what you like, it won't hurt me
E A
Cause I'm just working for the company."
E A
From the green cigarette, He took a long drag,
E A
And said, "I think I'll pick my traveling bag.
E A
I'm tired of cheating, and wasting my head
E A
And filling the boss's bags with bread.
E A
I want to get out in the sun and rain,
E A
And feel the wind on my skin again;
E A
The world is large, and I've got time yet.
E A
And, by the way, thanks for that cigarette.
B A G F#
Thank you very much."
E A
"You know, I feel like a new man
E A
Yes I do, I don't know why;
B A G F# E A
I'd just like to say: thank you very much(indeed) It's a beautiful day
E A
I think I'll be on my way (right away)
B A G F# E
I'd just like to say: thank you very much.
A E
Yes, I'm getting the hell out of here
E A
Yes, I am - bye, bye.
B A G F# E A E A
That's the end of the message. Thank you very much. Bye bye
B A G F#
